Cesar Millan

Saturday: Last week we went listening to what the world’s most famous dog trainer, mega-TV profile of Cesar Millan had to say about dog training. This profile has probably not escaped many dog owners’ ears. I must say that I am not surprised why he has become as famous as he is. This man radiates such an enormous charisma as he is humble in his appearance. I have great respect for dog trainers and supporters who PRACTICALLY can show results on how their dogs work. The opposite of what I find interesting in a dog trainer are the actors in the dog market, which remains more theorists than they can actually show you how to handle things in everyday life. There, I think that Cesar really does a good job when in in a easy but determined way explains that dogs are not Disney characters. We may love, and should love our furry friends, but we must understand that they are dogs, talking the dog language. There are some things that I believe that Cesa could do better. But all together, we clearly talk the same language.
The actual show was lighthearted, entertaining with some practical solutions. I got some interesting mind twisters about some concepts and I intend learn more about them. Then we will see if there is anything I can convert that I can become a better dog trainer.
Sunday: I might also mention that we went to see Hunters Association Skåne and “Gun dog day” that was organized in Fulltofta between Höör and Hörby. There was a quiz round, and along the way in the forest there were various activities for the dogs that you could try. Among other things you could try some obedience, retrieving, tracking, and a wild boar dummy. Definitely worth to visit next time. If nothing else, you can see it as a workout for the dogs.
